• The reasons for Electrical Testing
• The hazards associated with Portable Appliance Testing

And also have an understanding of:

• How to identify Class I and Class II equipment
• How to inspect, test and record the results for an appliance
• The importance of being able to understand the relevant readings
• How to use a Portable Appliance tester
• How to carry out a full visual inspection of the appliance, plug and lead
