Working at Height RegulationsThe new legislation which came into effect in 2005 places certain responsibilities on employers. The primary objective of the new legislation is to eliminate work at height where possible and where it is not possible to ensure that all work at height is performed safely and equipment has been appropriately selected, whether it is from a mobile access tower, scaffold or a ladder. You must ensure that only trained competent persons are permitted to use the equipment. The W.A.H.R. require employers and the self employed to put into place arrangements for:
When selecting suitable work equipment account must be taken of the principles of the Risk Assessment as required by the Regulation 3 or the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. The Risk Assessment and the action taken should be appropriate to the harm that could occur if no action was taken. Where work at height cannot be eliminated/avoided, safe means of access/working should be considered. You must plan and organise the work before it begins, carry out a full risk assessment and be guided by the findings. Take into account the following:-

How Much Will it Cost?
Training courses are run for a minimum of 3 delegates, maximum 12 delegates. Single delegates are charged at £75 per person, plus VAT and can be added to an existing course.
Group Discount currently available - 10+ delegates at £45 per person, plus VAT Where Does the Training Take Place?
Training can be undertaken at our fully equipped Training Rooms at both Southend and Chelmsford Depots.
How Do I Book?Our training is carried out to customer demand, subject to the availability of our Instructor. Please telephone our Training Line on 01702 561818 to discuss. (Please note, this telephone line is manned outside normal working hours and after 5 rings will transfer to a mobile telephone number at no extra cost to you).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Payment Terms: Account Customers will be charged to their monthly account. Non account customers will be required to pay at the time of booking the course. Certification: Our charges include the cost of official certification. Certificates and Identity Cards are posted out by First Class Recorded Delivery to the bill payer once full payment has been received. If you require your certification urgently, please speak to our Training Department to discuss payment options. Upon request, delegates can be issued with a letter confirming that they have passed the course on the day and are just awaiting their official certification to come through. Cancellation Charges: Please note that you will be charged 50% of the total cost if cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the date of Training and 75% of the total cost if cancelled less than 24 hours before the day. Please note, if all delegates do not arrive on the day you will be subject to 100% of the total cost.
