PASMA Towers for Users — One‑Day Course Overview

Our one-day PASMA Towers for Users course is essential. It is for anyone who builds, dismantles, moves, inspects, or uses mobile access towers at work. The course gives you the knowledge and practical training you need to work safely. It also helps you meet legal duties under the Work at Height Regulations 2005.

Delegates will learn about current laws and best practice for working at height with mobile access towers. This includes the 3T (Through the Trap) method and the AGR (Advance Guard Rail) method.

What You Will Cover In Our PASMA Course

Through a mix of classroom instruction and hands‑on exercises, Pasma Towers for Users training course teaches you:

• The responsibilities of employers, employees, and suppliers under work‑at‑height regulations
• Relevant standards, including EN 1004 and PASMA’s Code of Practice
• Where to find key safety documentation and guidance
• How to assess when it’s safe to use a mobile access tower, and when it’s not
• Pre‑use safety checks and post‑assembly inspections
• Step‑by‑step methods of assembing, dismantling, altering, moving, and using towers safely
• Safe ways to access platforms and transport towers on site
• Tower components, identifying hazards, and managing personal health risks—like fatigue or balance issues

Assessment & PASMA Certification

In our PASMA course you will sit a written mutiple choice theory assessment, with an 80% pass mark. After you pass, you move on to a practical assessment. When you will show that you can assemble, inspect, or dismantle a mobile access tower correctly.

Once you successfully complete both parts, you will get a PASMA PhotoCard and a certificate. Both are valid for five years. You can use this to prove your qualification in the TowerSure mobile app. You can also download a physical certificate if needed.

Course Format

Duration: One day, usually 6–8 hours

Structure: Blend of classroom theory and practical exercises at Mark One training centre

Class size: Maximum 12 delegates—ensures hands‑on time and individual support

PPE: You'll need to bring suitable head and foot protection, and gloves. You will also need weather-appropriate clothing as the practical session is outdoors.

Delegates are required to bring their own safety boots, hard hat and work gloves. As the practical training takes place outside delegates should bring weather protective clothing.

Payment Terms

Account Customers will be charged to their monthly account. Non account customers will be required to pay by debit or credit card at the time of booking the course, either via our website or over the telephone. There are no additional booking or credit/debit card charges. Payment by bank transfer is also possible upon request.

Certification

Our charges include the cost of official certification. Certificates and Identity Cards (as applicable) are posted out to the bill payer (not the delegate), on receipt of full payment. All successful delegates are issued with a temporary pass certificate at the end of the course, apart from the SPA Core Construction. Candidates that pass this course will receive a Certificate, once the course has been logged onto the SPA database.

Cancellation Charges

Any amendments to a booking will be subject to a £30 + VAT administration charge.

If you are running late on the day of the course, please call your relevant training centre as soon as possible so that your instructor can be informed.
